The Blueprint: Mama said there would be days like this…

Mama said there would be days like this…But I don’t remember her saying days like this would turn into weeks!

It’s been a while since my last post but I haven’t forgotten about the goal at hand. I had promised myself that I would try to blog once a week but things have been so crazy, I haven’t had the opportunity to put many of my thoughts on paper(BLOG). In short I had to take 2 weeks off of study because I was out of town with work. I had all the intentions of studying while I was jammed up in a hotel but I just couldn’t get focused enough to really do any substantial studying. I loaded my rack with a new lab and printed out the manual…but I only did a few of the objectives.

I’ve been home for about 2 weeks now and I have gotten back into my study routine. The first week back, I went though INE VOL3 labs 1 – 8. I did those labs just to get warmed up and for some refreshing of L2 and L3 only information. This week, I am tackling VOL2 Lab 10.

This is the schedule that I have come up with to put me back on track for the next few months:

Week 1 – INE VOL3 Labs 1 – 5
Week 2 – INE VOL3 Labs 6-10 & VOL2 Lab 10
Week 3 – INE VOL2 Lab 11
Week 4 – INE VOL2 Lab 12

Week 1 – INE VOL2 Lab 13
Week 2 – INE VOL2 Lab 14
Week 3 – INE VOL2 Lab 15
Week 4 – INE VOL2 Lab 16

Week 1 – INE VOL2 Lab 17
Week 2 – INE VOL2 Lab 18
Week 3 – INE VOL2 Lab 19
Week 4 – INE VOL2 Lab 20

Week 1 – ALL QoS
Week 2 – Cisco Live – Las Vegas

This study plan puts me right around August… just in time for the Lab Exam. Cisco Live is coming up too. Hopefully I will get the opportunity to go this year. They have lots of good break out sessions this yer. Also the fact that it is in Vegas makes it even more ideal.

Stay tuned for my YouTube Channel. The plan is to focus on network stuff of course. I plan to set-up some labs and work though some of the Cisco technologies configuring router and switches…it should be fun!
